LG has confirmed they are working on developing a quad-core powered smartphone with a 10MP (or more) camera. This is not LG’s first quad-core device. Their current flagship is the Optimus 4X HD[1]  that recently started shipping in Europe[2]. What makes the new smartphone so special? The new smartphone will be built following the direct specifications from company’s chairman Koo Bon-moo to taken full advantage of technology produced by fellow LG subsidiaries. This means that they will use top quality parts to take advantage of technologies LG is most renowned for.

When will it be available? LG plans on releasing the new smartphone in September. With the current flagship, the Optimus 4X, considered to be less attractive then Samsung’s current top device, the Galaxy SIII, we are all curious how the new smartphone will handle the competition. More to be revealed soon.
