Sony to release new flagship devices with CyberShot optics

Remember the Cyber-Shot feature phones from Sony-Ericsson back in the day? Those offered some of the best camera optics on a phone and fans have been requesting that the company’s Android smartphones should follow up on those cyber-shot/walkman brands. After acquiring Ericsson, Sony made some statements that they couldn’t revise the Cyber-shot / Walkman line-ups cause of Ericsson’s “passive” strategies but they will do so in the future. It seems that time is now as Sony plan on releasing new flagship devices for the second half of the year, including some with Cyber-shot optics taken straight from their T-series of digital cameras.  The second generation NXT series and will be named the Xperia Z, Xperia C, Xperia E and Xperia Y. The Xperia C could be the one to get the most attention as the C could mean Cyber-Shot as it meant on their feature phones. It is also rumored that the new smartphones will be powered by the Snapdragon S4 chipset and have OLED screens. There is also the PlayStation certification and we are likely to see the first smartphone from the new generation in August.
